Natural Bodyart

Made of leaves of Lawsonia inermis, aka henna tree

Grows in India, Middle East and North America

Ingridients: pure organic henna powder, water, sugar, lavender essential oil

Color: copper-brown, classical henna color

Applied with a cone, similarly to cake decoration, doesn’t hurt ;)

When the henna is dry, it will be covered with sugar syrup or medial tape. Keep it on the skin for minimum 3 hours, 8-12 hours for the best results. During this time avoid contact with water and activities that might make you sweat. Then remove the tape and peal off the rest of the henna. Avoid water fot the next 2 hours minimum, 8-12 hours for the best results. 

After removing the paste henna looks bright-orange. It reaches its full copper-brown color within 48 hours. 

Stays on skin for 7-14 days.

Henna is not recommended for people with Glucose-6-Posphate Dehydrogenase  (G6PD) deficiency or allergies to lavender essential oil. Allergies to henna are extremely rare and never result in long-lasting damages. If any allergic reaction occurs, wash off the henna paste, apply an anti-itch cream and consider to see a doctor. 

Made of a tropical fruit Genipa Americana

Grows in South America

Ingridients: Genipa Americanafruit juice, lavender oil and

natural emulsafiers which are also commonly used in food production

(xanthan gum, citric acid, potassioum sorbate)

Color: bluish-black, like a real tattoo

Applied with a cone, similarly to cake decoration, doesn’t hurt ;)

When the jagua is dry, just keep it carefully on the skin for 3-4 hours. Make sure not to smudge the design. During this time avoid contact with water and activities that might make you sweat. Then wash it off with warm water and a little bit of soap. Please avoid exposing the fresh jagua stain to extreme heat for 48 hours (for example in saunas).

After washing off jagua is light-blue or almost yellow. It gets dark bluish-black within 24 hours.

Stays on skin for 7-14 days.

Jagua is not recommended for people with allergies to fruit or berries (strawberries, kiwi, pineaple etc), because jagua itself is a tropical fruit. Also it is not recommended to people with psoriasis, eczema and allergies to lavender essential oil. Allergies to jagua are extremely rare and never result in long-lasting damages. If any allergic reaction occurs, wash off the henna paste, apply an anti-itch cream and consider to see a doctor.
